Most anytime of the year! However, Fall and Spring are the best times, the weather averages in the 70's during these seasons and 80's in July and Aug. Summers on the beach will be more crowded.

San Diego is known for its predictably beautiful weather. However, if you're planning a traditional June wedding, you may want to reconsider the month or have a plan b. June is termed"June Gloom" because of its tendency to be overcast, morning drizzle or colder. Have a back up plan to go inside, if you plan for June.

Huntington Beach Weddings

Although technically in Orange County, just north of San Diego, I had to include it here. Huntington Beach is a very wide and long beach.

It extends for miles so the chance for privacy is good,for a beach wedding. Also, be sure to contact Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach.

Weddings there are spectacular and overlook the water. They have a bridge from the hotel to walk to the beach without crossing the main street.

Hotel Del Coronado - Best Coronado Beach Weddings

Built in 1888,its iconic red turrets gracing the sky, this beachfront classic is one of America's most beautiful beach resorts and a National Historic Landmark.

Coronado Island is one of my husband and my favorite places to visit. The beaches are wide and quiet, and there are bike rentals and shops for your guests; if they'll be making your destination wedding a vacation too.

Having personally stayed there myself, I can attest to the beauty of this hotel and its location. Weddings here are said to be magical whether in their grand ballroom, garden or right on the beach, you'll love the Hotel Del.

San Clemente Beach Weddings

There is something special about San Clemente Beach. It feels like a small town and is conveniently located off the I-5.

The beaches are more narrow than you'll find at Huntington Beach, but still a very charming beach location for a wedding. I've also seen weddings take place on the grassy park, cliff side, overlooking the beach.

One drawback is the trains that run by periodically. A reception site may be a good way to go after the ceremony here.

Catalina Island Weddings

A beautiful island off accessible only by boat or plane, which makes it very romantic and less busy.

The Descanso Beach Club is the only privately owned beachfront property available for public use. An elevated terraced lawn leads directly to the beach, with crystal clear waters.

The lawn seats up to 250 guests while the entire venue can accommodate up to 1,200.
