There are many areas for you to have that perfect Phuket beach wedding. The north western coast of the island offers a series of bays such as the ones at Surin and Bang Khao. To the southwest, the peninsular at Naihan features dramatic ocean views and natural beachside forests, both of which guarantee a beautiful setting for a memorable day.

They will take care of all the necessary arrangements for your wedding and the extravagant reception to follow. You can either stay at the beach or have the reception at the back of your residence. Some agencies and resorts even organize boats to access smaller offshore islands, decorate the beach with flowers and shells and set up music.

Some of the islands that you can go to are Phi Phi Islands, Bamboo Island, Kai Nui, Racha Yai, and Coral Island.

Phi Phi is actually the location of the famous film ‘The Beach’. Maya Bay is a popular tourist destination but if you catch the sunrise or sunset, no one else would be around and you will have the bay to yourselves. Racha Yai is a large island surrounded by clear blue waters. This is more suitable for large wedding groups. However, it can be quite busy during the day with tour boats so it’s best to schedule a sunrise or sunset wedding. There are also restaurants and bungalows located on the island so a reception can also be organized here.

Coral Island is very close to Phuket and sheltered for most of the year. There’s a beautiful resort on the island that’s perfect for the reception or even a honeymoon. However, it’s also a popular destination for tourists so a late afternoon wedding is recommended.

However, bear in mind that while the island locations can give you very romantic and picturesque beach wedding locations, the availability depends heavily on the prevailing weather and tidal conditions.

Having a Phuket beach wedding is best suited to a more casual setting as things can get hot, wet and sandy. But if you have that great sense of adventure, a Phuket beach wedding would be the perfect choice.
