Centerpieces Ideas for Beach Wedding<

Creating a Beach Wedding Centerpiece is really easy to do yourself, and doesn't have to cost you a fortune.

They are great for more casual beach weddings, whether your beach wedding theme is on the beach or far away.

Determine the formality of your own wedding and the atmosphere you want to create when creating your wedding centerpiece and it will be easier to decide upon either a formal centerpiece or a fun and casual one.

Here are some of my favorite centerpieces for a beach wedding:

Glass Hurricane Lamp Centerpieces in the center of each table.

Step 1 - Using green foam circle 'design rings' which are
glued to a plastic base. Get the largest size you can find
to hold your glass hurricane lamp.

Step 2. - Soak the foam with water and flower preservative.
Step 3 - Add your greenery (fern etc..) to the foam, piece by piece. Fill up all edges around the foam. Also find beach grass and natural foliage you'd normally see at the beach.(these can usually be found in your craft store, silk flower department).
Step 4 - Spray leaves with a leaf protective spray to keep them shiny. To make it a beach wedding centerpiece add starfish, shells and beach glass placed on top of the foliage. Now you can let them sit for up to 2 days in a cool place. Remember to mist with water as needed.
Step 5 - Day of your wedding have them delivered then add the glass hurricane lamp and candle inside the middle. Flowers can be added around the circle on wedding day to keep them looking fresh.

Lanterns are another fun beach wedding centerpiece idea.

You can find them relatively inexpensively online at the Knot Wedding Shop (link above) and these can also be used in centerpieces.

Fill the center with beach rocks, glass and shells and a candle; gardenia can be placed around the table.

For a personal touch, tie a photo of the bride and groom to each lantern handle with ribbon, raffia or thin nautical rope.

Floating Candles

Wide, shallow bowls with beach glass, shells or sand at the bottom and filled with water and floating candles is an elegant beach wedding centerpiece and very simple to do. Gardenias or jasmine floating on top adds a soft touch.

Nautical Centerpiece

For a more nautical wedding centerpiece, get a boat or lighthouse at your local hobby or craft store. (they can be found very cheap unpainted, and then you paint them yourself). Create the centerpiece at the reception table by arranging sand, shells and beach glass on a plate or mirror.

Place the small craft boat or lighthouse in the center, each one could also have the table numbers on them to make it easy for guests to find their table in a creative way.

Fun Centerpiece

Fun beach wedding centerpieces for an outside beach wedding reception can be colored, metal sand pails. Use fun items you'd see on the beach like shovels, balls and shells or sunscreen, but incorporate flowers and candles in some pails to add a softer touch.

Centerpieces for weddings do not have to be expensive or overly dramatic and ornate, particularly if you're having a beach theme wedding. The centerpieces are the wedding reception decor that brings your whole theme and look together.
